Bernis

The village of Bernis dates back to the Roman « Villa Bernice » on the Via Domitia. It is mentioned as early as 925 in the cartulary of Notre-Dame de Nîmes and today has about 3,500 inhabitants.

From Le Moulin Bérénice: Le Moulin is 200 m from the village centre.

Don’t miss

  • The Protestant church and Saint-André church, both listed historic monuments.
  • The capitelles, dry-stone huts scattered across the scrubland.
  • The Costières de Nîmes : an AOP wine region, a Natura 2000 site and walking trails.
  • Village shops: bakery and deli, pâtisserie, restaurants, supermarket.
